2019-2020

  • Orientation/Kick Off Event
    September 2019

    Returning Social Cog members welcome new members for the start of our seventh year. This year's kick off event included meeting new social coaches, greeting old friends and making new friends feel welcome. Member's enjoyed each other over snacks and games.
  • Strike 10 Bowling
    October 2019

    The Social Cog members had a great day! Our members got to know each other while bowling and eating some delicious burgers and wraps.
  • Empower Farms
    November 2019

    The Social Cog Members had an awesome day at the farm! The activities included digging, planting, vegetable seddling and a tour of the farm. The members got to enjoy each other's company over great weather.
  • The Real Food Academy Cooking Class
    December 2019

    The Social Cog Members had a great day while cooking! Our members cooked delicuous homemade pasta and ravioli. And, they were able to eat everything they cooked while catching up.

    The Social Cog Members had a great day of exercise at American Top Team Gym! The day started with some stretches, martial arts movements and different sets of exercises. And after all that the day finished at Paquitos with a declicious lunch

    The Social Cog Members had a great day while cooking! Our members cooked delicuous oatmeal cookies, salad and paella. And, they were able to eat everything they cooked while catching up
  • Painting with a Twist

    The Social Cog Members enjoyed creating their own patining! While following the instruction of Paitning with a Twist staff members, they were all able to finalize a beautiful piece of Art
  • Shake-A-Leg

    The Social Cog Members enjoyed Sailing, Kayaking an Pontoon Boat Riding! We had a great time at this outing. We all rode the pontoon boat to a small island, kayaked and sailed from there. We ended with a great lunch/picnic at the island before we headed back.

    Social Cog Members had a lot of fun escaping different rooms! They had to work together to solve puzzles, manipulate objects, and search for clues. The members were able to enjoy each other, had lunch, and hangout after all the puzzle solving.

2017-2018

    Social Cog Members enjoyed creating their own patining! While following the instruction of Painting with a Twist staff members, they were all able to finalize a beautiful Under the Sea Painting.

    The Social Cog Members had a cooking class at The Real Food Academy. They had a great day while cooking! Our members cooked delicuous empandas, salad and paella. And, they were able to eat everything they cooked while catching up.

    Social Cog Members enjoyed indoor and outdoor games. It was a rainy day, but that didn't stop the members from having fun. They had fun playing table games and when the rain stopped they were able to enjoy some outdoor games.

  • Stray Boots Scavenger Hunt, May 2014

    Our members lunched at Fratelli Milano and then took to the streets in two teams for the Stray Boots scavenger hunt in Downtown Miami. Discovering new things in the city was a lot of fun!
  • Kayaking and Picnic Lunch at Oleta River State Park, April 2014

    The Social Cog had an amazing outing! The Members went on a guided kayaking tour around Oleta River State Park and then had a picnic lunch in one of the shelters.The weather was beautiful and everyone had a good time!
  • South Miami for Movie at Sunset Place and lunch at Carrabba's, March 2014

    Another great Social Cog event over the weekend - lunch at Carrabba's and movie at Sunset Place! RoboCop!!
  • Miami Heat Basketball Game,
    January 2014

    The Social Cog Members head to Downtown Miami for Lunch at Marina's Bar and Grill followed by a Miami Heat game. The Miami Heat won the game and everyone had the opporutnity to go down to the court and shoot free throws after the game!

2013

    It was a great day for The Social Cog! Members had a wonderful cooking class and lunch thanks to the generosity of Chef Jackie Packer and Temple Beth Sholom.
  • Bowling and Lunch at Lucky Strike
    November 2013

    The Social Cog had another amazing outing today! The Members went to Lucky Strike for bowling and lunch. We celebrated the November birthdays and everyone had a great time!
  • Orientation at Wynwood Miami, Walking tour of Wynwood Walls and Lunch at The Butcher Shop October 2013

    Our first outing was AMAZING! Our members met up at the offices of David Lombardi in Wynwood. After some icebreaking and getting to know one another, we did a guided tour of the Art Walk in Wynwood, followed by a delicious meal at The Butcher Shop. Everyone had a great time and we are off to a great start! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us leading up to our launch. We want to give special thanks to David Lombardi, who sponsored our first event and was just wonderful with our group.

We work hard as a team to help our Members connect with each other based on specific interests, characteristics, and needs.
